The amoeba divides asexually through

BINARY FISSION.

  • In this the parent cell divides into two identical daughter cells .

  • This happens through mitosis as amoeba is haploid .

  • Firstly, the nucleus divides( karyokinesis ) followed by the cytoplasm (cytokinesis).
