Explanation:
The atmosphere is comprised of layers based on temperature. These layers are the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere and thermosphere. A further region at about 500 km above the Earth's surface is called the exosphere.

Atmosphere :-
- The atmosphere is a big layer of air that lies above the earth's surface. It extends from the surface of the earth up to 10000 kilometres above the earth.
- There are five layers of atmosphere in which each of them has a role that continuous from billion years ago. The air pressure will be decreasing while we are going above from the earth's surface. So, in the atmosphere we cannot live and there'll not be any gravity.
Layers of atmosphere :-
Troposphere :-
- The troposphere is the first and the smallest layer of the atmosphere. Here, the air pressure will be the highest compared to all other layers. It extends from zero kilometres to 15 kilometres.
- We can live in this layer as it consists of air like oxygen and carbon dioxide. The planes that fly in the sky only lies in this layer. The parachutes also floats only in this layer.
Stratosphere :-
- The stratosphere is the second layer of the atmosphere. It lies in between the troposphere and the mesosphere. It has a layer called ozone.
- The ozone layer is the most important layer. Without this we would have burnt our skin, because this layer makes the sun's light little slower to reach the earth.
Mesosphere :-
- This is the third layer of the atmosphere. It lies between the stratosphere and the thermosphere. It is also one of the important layer.
- The work of layer is extremely useful. It stops the comets, meteors to fall on the earth by it's force. It extends from 50 kilometres to 80 kilometres.
Thermosphere :-
- The thermosphere is the fourth layer of the earth. It helps us to watch the television in our home. It extends from 80 to 900 kilometres. It's also one of the important layer of the atmosphere.
- The work of this layer is to reflect the radiated waves back to the earth which helps us to watch the television. Most of the satellites lives in this layer.
Exosphere :-
- This is the last and the thickest layer of the atmosphere. The sun, other planets, stars live in this layer. The place we say the space is this layer. It extends from 900 kilometres to 10000 kilometres.
- All the other planets live in this layer. If we should reach this layer, we should travel 10000 kilometres.
