Answer:

Autonomous nervous system

The autonomic nervous system controls involuntary actions through spinal cord and autonomic nerves.

The autonomic nerves are nerves that goes from spinal cord to lungs, heart, stomach, bladders, intestine and sex organs which are called the autonomous body organs.

It mainly controls the organs whose actions are not under our control. Hence, it controls involuntary actions.

It also control certain reflex actions like coughing and sneezing.

The hypothalamus is also said to be integrater of autonomic nervous system.

These are called autonomous autonomic nervous system as it controls automatically.

The two main types of autonomic nervous system include sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.

Both of the nervous systems have opposite work or action to each other.

The sympathetic nervous system controls the situations like fight and flight where as the parasympathetic nervous system doesn't doesn't control the situations like fight and flight, it only results the body to rest that is controls the body in an ordinary situation.

For example example, sympathetic nervous system increases the blood pressure where as the parasympathetic nervous system decreases the blood pressure.

Most of the times, autonomic nervous system controls involuntary actions but sometimes it may control voluntary actions too such as somatic nervous system.
