The main difference between the two type of rights are,

That fundamental rights actually refers to those rights which are those rights that are subjected to laws. These such rights have the feature or ability of being enforced on people.

They are termed as justiciable. For example: By enforcing such laws of rights, people have the ability of fair political structure prevailing. Like a democracy.

Whereas on the other-hand, Directive principles are those which cannot be enforced. These principles are therefore called principles rather than rights. These principles are classified as non-justiciable, for instance, "morals". For establishing righteousness in an economic democracy.
