It is an example of asexual mode of reproduction.

Some points related to binary fission are as follows:-

1. It is the most common type of reproduction incase of bacteria.

2. At first, DNA replication takes place in the bacteria.

3. The bacteria cell then divides into two cells under the favourable conditions and due to formation of septum at the center of the cell.

4. The two daughter cells are then individually formed into two new bacterias.

5. Thus, Binary fission leads to the formation of two daughter cells(offsprings) from the parent cell.

6. Example:- amoeba, paramesium, etc.
