In Leishmania , binary fission occurs in a definite orientation : 1: nuclear division is followed by the appearance of a constriction in the cell membrane. 2:Membrane then grows transversely inward from near the middle of dividing cell. 3:Cytoplasm separates into two equal parts , each with one nucleus
