Answer:

Explanation of a block diagram of computer:A block diagram of computer shows the structural representation of a computer system. The block diagram provides a quick overview of the computer's work process, from data entry to the desired results.

Extra information:A computer can process data, images, sound and graphics. They can quickly and accurately solve very complex problems. Input Device: To solve any problem, computers need to receive data and instructions. Therefore, we need to enter data and instructions into the computer. An input device consists of one or more input devices. The keyboard is one of the most commonly used input devices. Other commonly used input devices are mouse, floppy disk drive, magnetic tape, etc. All input devices perform the following functions. Accept data and instructions from the outside world. Convert it to a form the computer can understand. Transfer the converted data to a computer system for further processing. Storage Device: A computer's storage device contains data and instructions that are entered through an input device before being processed. It stores the intermediate and final results before sending them to the output devices. It also stores data for later use. The various storage devices in a computer system fall into two categories.

1. Primary Storage: Saves and renders very fast. This memory is generally used to store the program currently running on the computer, the data received from the input device, the intermediate and final results of the program. Primary memory is temporary in nature. Data is lost when the computer is turned off. To store data permanently, the data must be moved to another storage location. The cost of primary storage is higher compared to secondary storage. Because of this, most computers have a limited amount of primary memory.

2. Secondary Storage: Secondary storage is used like an archive. It stores several programs, documents, databases, etc. Programs running on a computer are first loaded into primary memory before actually running. Once the results are saved, they are saved again to the secondary memory. Secondary memory is slower and cheaper than primary memory. Some of the more commonly used secondary storage devices are hard drive, CD, etc. Memory size: All digital computers use binary system ie 0's and 1's. Each character or number is represented by an 8-bit code. A set of 8 bits is called a byte. A character takes up 1 byte of space.
