Budding in Hydra-

Budding is an asexual method of reproduction. The process takes place as mentioned.

a) In Hydra first a small outgrown called bud is formed on the side of its body by repeated mitotic division of its cells.

b) This bud then grows gradually to form a small Hydra by developing a mouth and tentacles.
