Hydra reproduces by an asexual method called budding .I'm this a small outgrowth called bud forms on the parent body and grows in size till it reaches its adult body size..then it detaches from the parent .

Budding in Hydra-

Budding is an asexual method of reproduction. The process takes place as mentioned.

a) In Hydra first a small outgrown called bud is formed on the side of its body by repeated mitotic division of its cells.

b) This bud then grows gradually to form a small Hydra by developing a mouth and tentacles.
