The buoyancy is caused in any liquid or any fluid. It is caused against the gravitational force due to the molecules of liquid. This force was first observed by Archimedes. He stated that if the density of any substance is higher than that of liquid then it will sink and if the density is lower than that of the fluid then it will float.
