"Causes of Rural-Urban Migration in India and its consequences
The main reason behind migration of rural people to urban areas is that they think that they will get many economic and employment opportunities in urban areas. They know that if they work in their villages they will get low wages and hence their income will remain low so they want to go in metro cities to get higher wages and better facilities.
The consequences of Rural-Urban migration in India
• There is a rise in unemployment rate in metro cities due to overpopulation.
