The immediate causes of the Revolt was the introduction of the Enfield rifle. The cartridge of this rifle had a greased cover which had to be bilton off before use.

The revolt of the 1857 is the first war against the british which harm british lot.The main cause of this revolt is the introduction of the Enfield rifle.The cartidge of the this rifle had a gresed cover which is made up of meat of the cow and the pig.The gresed had to bilton off before use . This lead the revolt from the hindu and muslim soldier.So this revolt happen,this revolt is leaded by mangal pandey.
