when antibiotics attacks a bacteria first the growtj of bacteria is topped and then bacteria will not be able to divide and spread all over the body through the blood.Antibiotics main work is to stop there growth and then kill them inside our body so as to prevent the harm.
In cellular level antibiotics damage their DNA and change it in such a way that they will not be able to divide further.
