COLONIAL CRICKET:-
In colonial period there were not any particular rule for cricket like no restrictions for the shape and size of the ground and of the bat.
People used to play cricket in any dress and look. There were no defined rule for the weight of the ball. And also it was just limited to some states of India. There were no any protective equipments, due to which sometimes people got hurted from the fast coming balls.
PRESENT CRICKET:-
At present time, there are defined rules for the cricket, weight of ball is defined, size of field is defined, shape of the bat is defined. Now, we have protective equipments for the game such as helmets, gloves, pads, special shoes etc. And now cricket is world's famous televised sport, everybody knows about cricket, due to television cricket audience expanded all over the world and even in small villages. We have facility to see live crickets at our homes on TV. ETC.
