motion:- a body is said to be in motion if it changes its position with respect to time
distance:-distance is the actual path taken by an object
displacement:- it is smallest distance between final and initial positions
speed:-speed is the distance travelled by an object in unit time
velocity:-velocity of the body is speed of the body in a particular direction acceleration:-acceleration of a body is defined as the rate of change of velocity of a body with time
the negative acceleration is in the direction opposite to the direction of velocity of the body it is known as retardation
