Given that,

Explain the chapter of expansion,

Suppose, find the square of

(a). 2a+b

(b). 3a-4b

(a). We need to calculate the square of (2a+b)

Using expansion

We know that.

(a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2ab

Put the value of a nd b

(2a+b)^2=(2a)^2+(b)^2+2\times2a\times b

(2a+b)^2=4a^2+b^2+4ab

(b). We need to calculate the square of (3a-4b)

Using expansion

We know that.

(a-b)^2=a^2+b^2-2ab

Put the value of a nd b

(3a-4b)^2=(3a)^2+(4b)^2-2\times3a\times 4b

(3a-4b)^2=9a^2+16b^2-24ab

Hence, (a). The square of (2a+b) is 4a^2+b^2+4ab

(b). The square of (3a-4b) is 9a^2+16b^2-24ab
