The characteristics and periods of prenatal development:

  • The prenatal development is considered as most vital part of developmental phase.  
  • The most important characteristic is remarkable phase which sets the psychological development.
  • The brain grows over the course of prenatal period and it will continues to work and result in more changes in the early years of childhood.
  • There are different periods and stages of prenatal development like 0-2 weeks germinal, 3- 8 weeks embryonic and 9th weeks birth foetal.
