The characteristics of north Indian Plain are:-

=>Northern Plains are very fertile and hence they are believed to be highly productive part in agriculture.

=>They lies below the Himalayan Rivers in the north and Peninsula plateau in south.

=>They cover an area of 7 lakh sq. km.

=>And they are plain area therefore they are suitable for making houses,building etc.

=>They are made up of deposit of Alluvium.

=>They have very suitable climate through the year.

=>And the major river like Ganga and Brahmaputra flow through there.
