IN LEAD ACID BATERRY two types of lead are acted upon electro chemical by an electrolytic solution of a diluted sulphric acid.
The positive plate consists of pbo2 and negative plate is pb.

When a led acid baterry is discharged the electrolyte divides into H2 and so4
the H2 will combine with some of the oxygen that is formed on positive plate.to produce water.and there by reduces the amount of acid in electrolyte the so4 combines with the pb of both plates forming pbso4
