explain the chracter julian in monk sold his ferrari

Julian is the main character in The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. He has a heart attack which leads him to sell all his belongings, retire from his job as a lawyer and vacation to the India and the Himalayan mountain range. This journey spiritually enlightens him. He then narrates this journey to his friend, John(another character). Julian used to have a daughter who had passed away in a driving accident. As a result he and his wife got divorced(thinking it was his fault).
