The main motive of collectivization was change the agricultural setup in Soviet Union and control or limit the powers of Kulaks, the peasants. The Kulaks used to manage their farms in their own ways and they didn’t give much control to Soviet Union. The peasants showed resistance is giving their farms burned their crops. The campaign became rigorous between 1929 and 1933
