Explain the classification of ployssacrides

Polysaccharides are carbohydrates formed by more than 9 monosaccharides linked by glycosidic linkages. They are categorised as :-

1.Homopolysaccharides - formed by same kind of monosaccharides
eg. Cellulose, starch

2.Heteropolysaccharides - formed by different kind of monosaccharides. eg. Heparin
