The hydrophilic part attract the dirt particle and the hydrophobic pulls them with an outward force. They aggregate together and form miscelles. With flow of water they flow away along with dirt and oil.

Soap are the sodium salt of long chain fatty acids has cleansing property with water.
Preparation of soap:
When any fat saturated or unsaturated ester are heated with NAOH the soap are formed.
Molecules of soap:
When soap is dissolved in water ,it forms misceles which is a tadpole like structure for pertains Ionic which is hydrophilic.

- Soap can't clean the clothes in hard water.
- Soap are biodegradable they do not produce water pollution.
