Cell wall is made up of cellulose. Cellulose is a complex carbohydrate. It is not digested in human body but acts as roughage.
Cell wall is only present in plant cells. It provides turgidity and rigidity to plant cells. It allows substances to pass through it unlike the plasma membrane which is selectively permeable.
