Answer:
- the atmosphere is sea of gases surrounding Earth.
- when we compare the size of earth the atmosphere is very thin blanket surrounding Earth.
- the atmosphere is about 100 kms thick.
- if x is the size of a basketball that mosphere would be like if thin sheet of plastic wrap around it.
- there are many gases in the atmosphere but Oxygen (21% by volume) and nitrogen (about 78% by volume) dominate.
- other gases are in very small percent ages; these include argan, neon, carbon dioxide, methane, ammonia, ozone etc. constitutes about 1% of atmosphere.
- apart from these gases, the atmosphere also have 5 dust particles these are called particulates.
- particulate may come from natural processes and from human activity.
- this particulates can change atmospheric conditions that may be beneficial to life on earth.
- the particulate also can cause problems by altering temperature and rainfall patterns.
