The Constituent Assembly assembled for the first time on 9 December 1946, again reassembling on 14 August 1947 as a sovereign body and heir to the British parliament's jurisdiction in India.
The Constituent Assembly consisted of 385 divisions, of which 292 were selected by the chosen members of the provincial Parliamentary Adjustments while 93 brothers were chosen by the Princely States. To these were to be attached a delegate each from the four chief Magistrates territories of Delhi, Coorg and British Baluchistan and Ajmer-Marwar,
Each Province and every Indian state or Group of States were provided the total amount of seats proportionate to their corresponding population approximately in the ratio of one to a million. There were 13 Committees for drafting the Constitution.
The all Important the Committee who take the obligation of composing the Constitution proclaimed as Drafting Committee established on 29th August 1947.
