Answer:

The maximum strength of the House allotted by the Constitution of India is 552. Currently the house has 545 seats which is made up by election of up to 543 elected members and at a maximum, 2 nominated members of the Anglo-Indian Community by the President of India.

Article 80 of the Constitution lays down the maximum strength of Rajya Sabha as 250, out of which 12 members are nominated by the President and 238 are representatives of the States and of the two Union Territories.

The role of Lok Sabha is frame rules for the administration of country and take care of people’s welfare. All laws passed by lok Sabha has to be passed by the Rajya so that it becomes a law with the exception of money bills over which it has no authority.
