Explain the concept of disguised unemployment

Disguised unemployment exists where part of the labor force is either left without work or is working in a redundant manner where worker productivity is essentially zero. It is unemployment that does not affect aggregate output. An economy demonstrates disguised unemployment when productivity is low and too many workers are filling too few jobs.

disguised unemployment refers to that kind of unemployment in which people appear to be employed but the fact is they have as such no contribution in increasing the production i.e nothing will change if they are removed and the production will remain same

it occurs in the sense that 5 people are working in a field that requires the labour of only 3 so two people are disguisedly unemployed
