fundamental rights are considered as an essential element in our democratic country. since we where denied most of the Civil and political rights by the British one of the most important aspirations of the people was that they should have some basic rights which cannot be violated. therefore the constitution of India provides several fundamental right.

there are six fundamental rights :-

1) Right to Equality
2) right to freedom
3) right against exploitation
4) right to freedom of religion
5) cultural and educational rights
6) right to constitutional remedies

EXPLANATION :-
================

1) Right to Equality:- (includes)

• equality before law
• prohibition of discrimination on ground of religion, caste etc.
• equality of opportunity in matters of public employment.
• abolition of untouchability.
•abolition of titles.

2) right to freedom:- (include)

• freedom of speech and expression.
• freedom to assemble peacefully and without arms.
• freedom to form associations and unions.
• freedom to move freely throughout the territory of India.
• freedom to reside and settle in any part of India.
• freedom to practice any profession or to carry on any occupation trade or business.
• protection in respect of conviction for an offence.
• protection of life and personal liberty.
• protection against arbitrary arrest and detention.
• right to education.

3) right against exploitation :- (includes)

• prohibition of traffic in human beings and forced labour.
• prohibition of employment of children below the age of 14 years in any hazardous occupation.

4) right to freedom of religion:- (includes)

• freedom of conscience and the right to process practice and propagate any religion.
• freedom to manage its own affairs in matters of religion.
• the state will not collect any taxes for promotion of any particular religion.
• no religious instruction can be provided in any Educational Institute which is wholly maintained out of estate funds.

5) cultural and educational rights:- (includes)

• protection of interest from minorities.
•right of minorities to establish and administer educational institutions of their own.

6) right to constitutional remedies:-

• if any citizen feels that one of his or her rights has been violated by an executive order, he or she may request the Supreme Court or High Court to issue the appropriate writ for the Restoration of his or her right.
