Guttation- It is the loss of water from the margin of the leaves in the form of water droplets is called guttation.
•It occurs water absorption is high and transpiration is low.
•Normally guttation process is found in some plants like grasses, tomato etc.
•Guttation occurs from the margin of the leaves through the special pore which is always open like structure, called as hydathodes or water stomata.
•Generally guttation occurs during night or early morning.
•The guttation process happens due to the root pressure.

Answer:
- Guttation is the phenomenon in which water is removed in liquid phase (exudation of water) through intact plants parts.
- Guttation can be frequently seen when atmosphere is humid, transpiration is low and active absorption of water is more.
- This active absorption of water develops pressure in root, i.e. root pressure.
- Guttation is often observed early in the morning when excess of water collects in the form of droplets.
- Thesedroplets are formed at the special openings of veins near the tip of grass blades and leaves of many herbaceous plants.
- In ferns, guttation occurs through special glands called hydathodes.
- Water exuded by guttation contains salts.
