a mole is a chemical counting unit such that one mole is equal to 6.022 * 10 to the power 23. stoichiometry also requires the use of balanced equations. the concept of mole ratio in reaction stoichiometry problems are used as conversion factors from moles of a reactant to another. moles are used to show the balance of reaction occuring.
