Quality is achieved by doing the right thing right the first (and every) time. In this definition, "the right thing" is the customer's requirement. The organizational performance standard for providing work is do the right thing (meet the customer's requirement) right the first time.
Definition of right first time. Used to say that, in making a product, it is better to perform an operation correctly the first time, rather than have to work on it again in order to correct mistakes
Right the First Time” Principle. The goal behind the “Right the First Time” principle is to minimize the number of product issues that get past design release and cause rework, scrap and change orders, leading to displeased customers.
