There were white moths and black moths .The colour of the baground they sit was white ,so black moths in white backgrounds are easily noticeable by birds or predators, rather than white moths.So the number of white moths was in lead.After industrialization due to pollution dust and other wastes get attached on the background and it's colour become black.Now the white moths become more vulnerable to predators .So the population of white moths decreased.
The point is before industrialization ,change was in favour of white moths and after it , the condition was in favour of black moths .Survival of the fittest in accordance with Darwin's theory of evolution.
