Standard Time:- In a wide country the local time of a place in the centre or of an important place there is considered to be the standard time of the country. this time is applicable to all places or the entire nation there is only one standard time in India, while there are 6 standard times in each in Canada and USA and 11 in Russia
2. Tropic of Cancer:- the latitude situated at 23°30' to the north of equator is called Tropic of Cancer

3. Peninsula:- a Peninsula is that land mass which is surrounded by sea or a large water mass on its three sides. e.g., South India Indian peninsula, Saurashtra Peninsula, Malayan Peninsula etc

4. Divergent:- at few places, the tectonic plates are drifting apart or going away Each Other these are known as divergent plate .the process of divergence causes fault in the relief.

5. Hemisphere:- the equator divide the earth into two equal parts and each of these parts is known as a hemisphere the part which is in the north of equator is called Northern hemisphere and the part in the south is known as Southern hemisphere
