Underemployment is basically a situation in which a person is made to work below his potential and so his presence and absence does not add to the productivity.For example:-in many urban areas workers in factories ,constructional sites ,vendorers are  underemployed.They are actually not required ,but they do these work  because they don't have any alternative for a living.
