speed is the distance travelled in unit time
velocity is displacement travelled in a unit time along a particular direction
acceleration is the change in velocity in unit time (always positive)
deceleration is that condition in which final velocity is negative due to which it becomes negative

1. Velocity :- It is a quantity that gives the speed of the object as well as its direction of motion. The velocity of an object is its displacement per unit time....as ( V = S / t ) ...
It is a vector quantity i.e. both direction and magnitude
2. Speed :- It is equal to the distance covered by an object divided by time interval . It is a Scalar quantity , as it have only magnitude bt not direction...( speed = distance÷ time ).
3. Acceleration :- The rate at which the velocity of an object changes is called acceleration of the object ...
it's also a vector quantity.. ( a= (v-u)/t )
4. Retardation :- if the speed of an object decreases, we say that it is decelerating,or it has a deceleration or retardation. If the acceleration's direction is opposite to that of the velocity, the object will decelerate...

2) Go for extra readings (for science and maths only). You can use S. Chand's or holyfaith's or any other book.
3) Practice reasoning as much as you can. You can use S.Chand's reasoning book.
