Explain the concepts of central tendency.
Answers
In statistics, a Central Tendency ( or measures of Central Tendency ) is a Central or Typical value for a probability distribution.
It may also be called a centre or location of the distribution ..
The most common measures of Central Tendency are the Arithmetic Mean , Median and Mode..

Answer:
It is a statistical analysis to get a single value which depicts the characteristics of the whole data.
Explanation:
Central tendency describes the center value which represents the whole data structure. It facilitates the comparison. There are three measures of central tendency which are as follows:
a. Mean
b. Median
c. Mode
MEAN- Mean is a also known as arithmetic mean. It is most popular and also usually called average. Mean is equals to sum of all the observation by total number of observation. It can be calculated for individual, discrete and continuous series. It is affected by change in scale and change of origin.
MEDIAN- It is the middle value of the series or we can say it divides the series into two equal halves. It is also affected by change in scale and change of origin, in short it is affected by the outliers. It can be calculated for all three series as well. Median is useful in open ended intervals.
MODE- Mode is the maximum times repeating number in the series. It is also called modal value. It tells, the number which is heavily concentrated. Again, it can be calculated for all three series. It is also affected by the outliers. Its value can be ascertained graphically and best suited for qualitative data.
