Displacement of a body is the change in its position. It is the shortest distance between the initial and final position of the body. So when the initial and final position of the body is same the displacement would be zero....

i hope it helps you

Answer:

Displacement is the length to which a body got displaced from its initial position. For Example: In a round park, if a person completes one round, the displacement will come as 0. It is because, the person is standing in the position from where he/she started which means that his/her body has not been displaced. This gives the displacement as zero.

Conclusion: Displacement will be zero only if the body comes back to its initial position regardless of what distance it has covered.

Hope this helps.
