Explain the conditions required for growing wheat in India.

WHEAT :

It is the second most important food crop of India . The geographical conditions required for wheat cultivation are as follows  

a) It requires 14 to 18° C temperature . Higher temperatures are harmful for wheat .

b) 50 to 100 cm of rainfall is required .

c) Fertile alluvial or mixed soil is best for wheat .

temperature required for wheat is 15.5 degree Celsius
rainfall required wheat for 30 cm -100 cm
soil required for wheat is light clay and high loamy soil
it grow in April - may month means not very cold season not very hot season
