Copper sets the standard for conductivity. With its exceptional current carrying capacity, copperis more efficient than any other electrical conductor Because of its superior conductivity, annealed copper is the international standard to which all other electrical conductors are compared .

i.                     Copper offer a low resistance to the flow of current and hence they are good conductors of electricity.

ii.                    Copper are highly ductile and hence can be used for preparing the wire.

iii.                  Copper being more ductile, it is used in making thin wires.

iv.                  Thus, they are suitable for making wires used in electrical circuit.
