according to conservation of energy freely falling object before falling it contains potential energy and when it is falling potential energy get converted into kinetic energy and before it again does the ground it contains kinetic energy and at the moment when it is at touching the ground it contains both Kinetic as well as potential energy and when it touched the ground then the kinetic energy is totally converted into potential energy
