Answer:

A photoelectric cell consist a small evacuated bulb. A thin layer of an alkali metal is deposited on inner surface of the bulb. The bulb is made of quartz, if cell is used with ultraviolet light. A small portion of the surface of bulb is left uncoated and serves as a window for incoming light.

The photoelectric cell is used in exposure meter.  The photoelectric cell is used in lux-meter. It is used to determine the intensity of light. The photoelectric cell is used in a burglar alarm

Answer:

Here's your answer

Explanation:

photo electric cell consists of highly gas filled glass tube , an emitter and a collector . the light enters through a quartz ( a hard material consisting of hard , colorless object found in metamorphic rocks ) window and falls on the semicylendrical cathode ( negatively charged electrode ) coated with photosensitive metal . The anode ( a positively charged electrode ) is in the form of straight wire of platinum or nickel , co-axial ( having common axis ) with cathode .

The applications of photoelectric cell :

1) photoelectric cell is used in the reproduction of sound that is recorded on a movie .

2) The photoelectric cell is used in lux-meter ( a device used to measure amount of light )

3) The photoelectric cell is used in a burglar alarm ( device that emits a loud noise when someone enters a building or other premises without having a permission...

see the diagram of the photoelectric cell that i have given so that you can understand a little more ❤

have a nice day ahead

stay safe and blessed ❤
