  1. Moving Coil Galvanometer (suspended type) is consists of a light rectangular coil of thin copper wire with many turns wounded on a non magnetic frame of aluminum or copper.
  2. The coil is suspended so that it can rotate freely in a magnetic field between two strong poles of a horse shoe magnet.
  3. Horse Shoe magnet of cylindrical concave poles and a soft in between the poles. The cylinder serves as core and performs two function.
