Henry Fayol can be considered as the Father of Principles of Management. As an engineer, Fayol took charge of an undertaking which was on the verge of bankruptcy. This undertaking became most financially sound when Fayol retired. The success with which he did it was regarded by Urwick as “one of the romances of French industrial history.”
