Answers
ISRO and its contribution to Indian space research. Indian's achievement in space research is often considered remarkable with its low cost budget. The space research system, ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) has a good track record of making any government proud with its achievements.
Satellites are designed, developed, assembled, and tested at the ISRO Satellite Centre in Bangalore. Launch vehicles are developed at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram. Launches take place at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre on Sriharikota Island, near Chennai.
Hey bro, here is your answer.
The contribution of ISRO is given below-
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched a number of satellites in the past four decades for various scientific and technological applications related to fields such as mobile communications, Direct-to-Home services, meteorological observations, telemedicine, tele-education, disaster warning, radio networking, search and rescue operations, remote sensing and scientific studies of the space. This trend is still gaining momentum.
India has launched a total of 92 satellites until now, out of which 27 were of foreign origin. Out of the 25 satellites still operational, the major projects such as INSAT-4A (launched 2005), INSAT-4CR (launched 2007), Cartosat-1 (launched 2005), and Chandrayaan-1 (launched 2008) are still in service. The PSLV-C19 carrying RISAT-1, microwave remote sensing satellite is projected to be launched during the last quarter of 2011.
Realizing the huge potential of space technology for the country's development, ISRO has envisioned a strong role for Indian satellite programs in national development and solving the problems of common man. The country's sturdy rate of economic progress has made its space program more evident and lively as the country targets for better self-reliance in space technology.
