Explain : The core of the earth is a source of earth's magnetism
Answers
According to Earth's Magnetism, the current is generated by the conducting movement of molten substance in the outer core of Earth and that current results in the magnetic field around the earth surface. So, the core of Earth is a source of magnetic field.
The magnetic field of Earth resembles with the magnetic field pattern due to a bar magnet as if it is placed on the axis of Earth.
The point on the earth surface where from the magnetic field is coming out or entering into the earth are known as magnetic poles.
The southern hemisphere according to to geographical meridian is the Northern hemisphere according to magnetical meridian.
The northern hemisphere according to to geographical meridian is the southern hemisphere according to magnetical meridian.
The line joining the two magnetic poles is known as magnetic axis. As the magnetic poles are not coinciding with the geographical poles, show the magnetic axis is also filled with the geographical axis by an angle 11.3°.
Earth's core and the geodynamo. The Earth's magnetic field is believed to be generated by electric currents in the conductive iron alloys of its core, created by convection currents due to heat escaping from the core.
