Explanation:

Corrosion is a natural process that converts a refined metal to a more chemically-stable form, such as its oxide, hydroxide, or sulfide. It is the gradual destruction of materials (usually metals) by chemical and/or electrochemical reaction with their environment. Corrosion engineering is the field dedicated to controlling and stopping corrosion.

The black coating on silver and the green coating on copper are the examples of corrosion.

Corrosion causes damage to car bodies, bridges, iron fillings, ships and to all objects made of metals, specially those of iron.

Corrosion: Formation of undesirable compounds on metals when it comes in contact with other elements or compounds is known as corrosion. it leads to tarnishing of metals.

Rusting: when iron comes in contact with moisture and oxygen and forms hydrated ferric oxide, it is known as rusting. The hydrated ferric oxide
