The Critical Angle is the incidence angle at which the angle of refraction is 90 degrees (90°).
The phenomenon of total internal reflection occurs when all incident light is reflected off the boundary. It can only happen if both of the following requirements are met:
- A light beam is in the denser medium and approaching the denser media.
- The light ray's angle of incidence is larger than the so-called critical angle.
