The people in Palampur follow the pattern of multiple cropping. They are able to grow three different types of crops.
Farming is the ‘main occupation’ of the people in Palampur. The agriculture system is well developed with a number of tube wells and there is a good supply of electricity in Palampur. This helps the people in farming and they are able to grow ‘three different crops’ in the year.
During the rainy season, they grow jawar and bajra, in the winters they grow wheat and between October and December, they grow potatoes.
