Explain the cross cotting different with sweatable exemple

Cross cutting differences occurs when onr kind of social division cross cuts another. This may cause social divisions but not they are not of high intensity. Because in such cases, it becomes difficult to pit one group against the other. Groups which may share a common interests on one issue may be on opposing side on another issue. Such differences are easy to accomodate and may not lead to deep social divisions.

For example, in  Nethlongierlands, class and religion cross cut each other. Both Protestants and Catholics may belong to different sects of the same religion, however, people belonging to both sects are equally likely to be rich or poor.
