explain the definitions of mirror,reflection and shadow

mirror is an object that reflect the light ray without any disturbance that means the reflection is in straight line.. reflection is a mirror image of an object which is horizontally inverted.. and Shadow is a projection of an object through which light cannot pass...the size of this projection depends upon the angle at which the light Ray's struck the object

Ad6677: well sorry i was trying to answer the question in the point of view of wave and optics so the definition may be messed up

Reflection is the return of light or sound waves from a surface.
Shadow is a dark patch formed behind the opaque or the translucent object when it comes in the path of light.
